Cookie Policy

Draft — pending legal review. This page was generated to describe, as accurately as we could, how LIRA Voice actually collects and uses data today. It is not final legal advice and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer qualified in your jurisdiction. Please don't treat it as a binding legal document until that review is complete.

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies LIRA Voice actually uses — not a generic list of everything a cookie policy template usually includes.

What we don't use cookies for

Signing in to your account does not use a traditional browser cookie. We store your session token in your browser's local storage instead, which keeps you signed in but isn't sent automatically with every request the way a cookie is, and isn't readable by other sites.

What we do use

  • Strictly necessary (always on, no consent required): a local-storage entry that remembers your cookie consent choice itself, so we don't ask you every visit.
  • Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies (typically _ga, _gid) to help us understand aggregate site usage — pages visited, rough traffic volume. We don't use this data for advertising, and it isn't loaded at all until you click "Accept all" or enable it under "Customize" in the cookie banner.
  • Marketing: not currently used. We've reserved this category in the consent banner for transparency in case we add anything like this in future — accepting it today has no effect, since nothing reads it yet.

Managing your choice

You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer, or by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. Rejecting analytics cookies doesn't affect anything else about how the site works — it only stops Google Analytics from loading.

Third-party cookies

When enabled, Google Analytics is operated by Google and governed by Google's own privacy policy. We don't control what Google does with data it collects beyond what we send it.
